the forgotten mud (la fanga oblidada)

From a find, the plant skeleton of an ivy twisted into a round iron profile tube, I began a connective work of landscape, seasonal weather, and earthwork. The piece that stars and links the discourse is a mud built from the tube with dry ivy, therefore a sculptural element that flirts with reality itself. So much so, that I give it a fixed location in a landscape. The second leg of this work is the filming of different moments of this mud in the assigned space, over the course of a year. The videographic result traces the permanence in front of the cyclical variability.
